I am awaiting the start of the leagues - here is hoping one or two of them will take the initiative and start FF off with a clean slate. I could do without all of the FF servers adopting the old draconian TFC league rules.

You can't form a justifiable opinion without comparison in this situation. It's like trying to create a scientific law after one experiment. I have seen VERY FEW posts about TF2 being good that have actually used a comparison to TFC and FF, and provided a valid reason. And you know what, for those posters, good for them. Impossible to form a justifiable opinion without comparison? Are you kidding me? So if someone played TF2 and had never played TFC, their opinion is unjustifiable? Would you be able to elaborate on that one? It seems extremely flawed.

I disagree with you stating that most people have given a decent argument or comparison when they claim TF2 is better than FF. It's more like "TF2=Suck" or "TF2 is for kids" or "TF2 doesn't have nades, as a result I hate it" and etc.

As for your last point, why does TF2 need to be compared to TFC in order to be qualified as a good game? Can it not be a good game in its own right?

I have to say though, I very much don't appreciate the attitude you've thrown at me here. I'm pretty sure I never once 'screamed "BIAS!!!"' or anything even similar.

Not really, I see TF2 having alot of potential for clan matches and leagues.

I wouldn't be surprised if by next year TF2 would be top 10 populated league games

You could be a leet clanner of old, but just want to try something radically different. I havn't played TF2 and I havn't played FF in months. FF is great and when i get a pc again i will play it a lot. But im excited by TF2 because it looks different, not just because of the aesthetics.

Offence classes are not quick enough, nor do they possess the weapons to have an affect on a potential defence quartet of two soldiers, a HW, and an Engineer.
There is a fine line, though. The creation of grenades would perhaps swing the TF2 pendulum to a potential clan game, rather than a fun public one - which is the case thus far.

Even if they do create grenades, I would still opt to play FF for clan-based gaming - the pace, maps, classes etc, are all familiar aspects from TFC which made it popular in it's prime.

Toast is kinda nice and crunchy and goes well with jam, but then cereal is all moist and yummy. Hmmmm...though when you drop toast it sometimes lands tasty side down... but then again retards eating cereal often spill milk all over the place and make massive mess AAARGH!! I'm having such hard time deciding which to have, cos clearly I can't have both TOAST AND CEREAL for my breakfast can I? lol. I'm so confused, please help me.

I was a hardcore tf player in top clans.. as were a lot of my good friends and all of us like tf2 better.

Clearly you fail to appreciate that I've been a part of many top eating leagues with some of the best lardoes. We all agree that cereal is better. Why? It was never intended to be toast. The flour was made into crunchy bits that get soggy in milk. We know tho soggy bits really give breakfast a better taste.
