A video comparison of 2Fort quakeworld team fortress and team fortress classic.

I went through and filmed videos about all 4 versions of 2fort. At first I thought the videos would all fit on a 10 minute video, but I was wrong. QWTF and TFC are in one video. The next video is going to cover the FF and tf2.

The ff and tf2 video should be posted tomorrow.

Can you post screenshots of the QWTF sentry gun and dispenser? I've never seen them before.

This is a great comparison. Makes me want to try to make a 2fort map. I'd call it KubeFort

When I made the FF_2fort video we released prior to the 2.1 update, I wanted to incorporate footage from QWTF, but nobody in the beta could get me footage of it.

The name of this forum section is "Fortress Media" - not "Fortress Forever Media".

There are a lot of old school QWTF and TFC fans that might like to see this type of video. If you dont, then dont watch it. But either way, lets not complain.

I played TFC. As a matter of fact, I still play it, quite often. But it makes no sense to compare two ancient (1996 for QWTF, 1999 for TFC? yeahh) in the forums for a mod that was released in.. 2007.

Im not a rocket scientist or quantum physic engineer, but i would ASSUME that is a big word but assume that Fotress Media is short for something am not sure what but there is a HL2 mod that im sure didn't want to be redundent and have to put FORTRESS FOREVER on every thread and board because people might be smart enough to figure out that this board is for Fortress Forever Media

Fortress Forever can be shortened to FF. Notice the suggest forum says 'Fortress Games'. So.. what? Guess people should fix their forum before bashing their users for just assuming via what their forum description says.

Bickering over something like this is stupid. Did Kevin's video comparison of QWTF/TFC really offend you schmucks? Plus, I have seen much worse stupid off the wall stuff on various sections on these forums.

Both games that were compared in that video are solid roots of where today's fortress games come from ( ie: Fortress Forever, Quake Live, Teamfortress 2). People should be more open and thankful for someone like kev putting in the time to display how much the "Fortress Game" has evolved over the past 10-12 years. Because i am sure that was the whole point of production of this movie, yet, only criticism is made about whether or not it should be put in the fortress media section on these forums

Thanks kev for letting me revisit the good times i had on QWTF. It's been since '97 since i even looked at the game haha.
