So, under the new censorship programs that are in effect, can anything actually be debated? Commenting or questioning the moderating staff is flaming, so that's the previous avenue of discussion out. I assume religious discussions will be locked down, and politics gets scuzzy and uber involved and we know where that goes.

Anything left?

Who, exactly, was the field slanted against? And why?
Weren't there reasons behind this so-called slant?
Why, exactly, are accusations a bad thing? If these accusations are well-grounded, perhaps they should be investigated.

It seems like this was a desperate attempt to cover up the last week or two, and hide all the proof of the fact that perhaps there are some people who are not capable of both moderation and debate, but should stick to one or the other.

But, hey, that's just how I feel. I'm sure somehow that's against the rules.

It's not really surprising. The reasons are fairly obvious. When those in positions of power begin to feel like they can no longer control what people are thinking and saying (mostly about them), censorship if often employed. Anyone who's spoken a word about it is already familiar, so no need for clarification there. That's just a historic truism. Take a look at the stated reason by "The Fortress Forever Development Team" representative. The stated reason is, "it will be very easy to point out" those responsible for "instigating, accusing, and being a general problem." Basically, anyone who's got something to say about how the admins around here run their forums. That's just about everyone lately, for those who haven't noticed (you can't anymore, because those posts are now kept secret). Essentially, you're not allowed to point to the complete malfeasance of those who run the forums, like one who tried to explain to others that I was banned for calling people the n-word, which anyone could easily recognize as a complete farce almost immediately. The reason is because that history has been whitewashed, again following typical historic patterns, so that anyone who wants to bring it up "will be very easy to point out" for their now-baseless "accusing," which is a "general problem" for those who run this place.
