I absolutely love how 3 months ago there was a tiny minority of us on this site that defended TF2... look at the change of heart.

As others have said already... yes. Robin Walker and John Cook were among the original creators of the Quake mod. They may not be the sole ones responsible for the coding but they are leading the project. Obviously since they were hired by Valve they have more resources and coders this time around.

Ya, I think everyone is finally seeing how this might be a fun game. We all just want to play a fortress game that's good. FF or TF2.

Oh and on the wc3 mod thing, try out ninjaserve.org's. It is pretty balanced, cause you can kick ass with pretty much all the races, all depends on your play style and the types of guns you use.

i wouldnt consider cs or dod to be successful, they are successful retail games, not mods. and im suprised you didnt mention gm.

CS and DoD are mods. CS and DoD are successful. Therefore, CS and DoD are successful mods. That is absolutely a fact.

Quoted for absolute truth!

FF has massive potential to be successful but the devs need to go about it the right way or it will become another easily forgotten folly.

I don't care how popular TF2 is or what Valve does to it, nothing can beat teh sexyness of the spy in FF.

I like the TF2 spy much more, however, FF wins at HWGuy design

I like the "full" invisibility in TF2, but the fact you can't attack straight out of it gives room for a split-second reaction. The disguising works better in TF2 because of things like firing blanks, and the spy's combat ability was mulched to nothing, making the class completely rely on his tricks to succeed, where a good spy in TFC/FF can pull out their passable combat abilities to save their bacon. The no grenades thing works better for this class than anyone else, imo.

I do think the Spy's Saboatage is SUPER cool though

I can't say why I like the HW better in FF, but Dospac knows what he does that makes me <3

Really? I still don't like the design of the HWGuy... he's not beefy enough. Do love his gun though...

Erm Virtua Fighter 5 IS the pinnacle of fighting games you berk!

I thought this was a fortress-forever fan sight. With every passing day it looks more like a TF2 website
