How? Rocket yellow crystals, snipe with bow, hide behind rocks, snipe with .357. Boss'plosion.

Also, I'd rather have something polished than something rushed. Valve's been good so far, no reason to think they won't keep that up.

I'll be honest and say that I don't play episodes. I have no interest in them. I've only gone about 30 minutes in to Episode 1 and, for whatever reason, it just doesn't interest me in the slightest.

I'll play HL2 again and again, but I just can't be bothered with the Episodes. I think it has something to do with me thinking that it will just 'end' and I will be unsatisfied, similar to the ending of the first LOTR.

"That was it?"

Credge, with the way Episode 2 ends, there's no real reason to think like you do. Episode 1's ending was a bit like that, but there was some bit of closure. Episode 2, on the other hand, tied the episode up pretty nicely. Sure, there's no rock-hard closure, but it's a Half-Life game.

Yeah, half-life ended in a way you knew there was a next part. Same thing with HL2.

I'm not sure if you're being serious or devious.

Both episodes had fucking awesome endings, even if they didn't "wrap things up".

I think the feeling of "Looks like I have to wait to actually see the complete closure of the entire bit of this game" is a major let down and one of the reasons I'd rather just play one complete game instead of playing a game segmented in to pieces. For me, the fact that I know that there's more that I can't do now when I'm interested in it... now... makes me not want to play it.

"You mean I waited 2 years for 4 hours of game? And I'll have to wait another 2 years for another 4 hours of game?"

I'd rather just wait for it to all be finished and go back and play them.

I mean the use of a portal gun in COMBAT situations...

Imagine: Shitload of combine jump out of a dropship, a couple of yards further a shitload of containers...

Need I say more.

Meh, it's not like it could damage them, what am I going to do? Use it to have one Guard fall on top of the other only for one of them to go 'Sleep Time', and 'shut down'?

I'm curious as to what you're waiting for exactly? Playing HL2 with the portal gun? You can do that.

I think he wants to make one portal below a Hunter and make it land on a Combine Soldier and crush him.

Or open a portal in a Zombie mesh that leads to a group of Combines...

Have you played any of the episodes? You're outside too much for the Portal gun to have any real use.
