[Released Beta 2] FF_Vertigo_b2 (update may26)

Release of Beta 2. Hopefully this time i squashed bugs with new lua coding and so on. If the problems still happen, im going to be in trouble. I jazzed up the cap points, though, im not sure i like it and i may change it for next release. Give it a whirl and let me know via pms or the forums anything thats good or bad.

This is a small style AvD map based off the counterstrike version de_vertigo. I think its best played with 6 - 10 players. Anything more, and i think it would get laggy/spammy. (im not sure though i havent tested over 4v4)

I really want to see this map played in pubs, i think it gives a different feel then other AvD maps, and i think will be good for new players. Special thanks to squeek. I couldnt have done it without him. Now a special thx to trepid_jon as well!

(there is a secret grenade pack with one gren2. Listen for sounds, they mean things! Plywood is important!)

I think I played another version (it was called "map5" in the server) and that version was a bit buggy (sometimes doors wouldn't open, etc). I'll definately check this one out!

(Also, shooting barrels around is fun, but why you can clip through them? It's much more fun to score a barrel kill on an enemy than shoting them around... =D)

Nice map, good fun for small games.

Bit buggy in places, but thats what beta's are for . Looking forward to more.

I think it just crashed the server though we were on though

wheres the dowload link :S, but anyway one off my clanmates
strat i think talked to Greenmushy for the map before its final version and we did play it sometimes. And i have to tell that this map populates a server very quicly and plp stay and play it till the end! Ideal sized map!
dunno if is fixed, but in the map5 version, sometimes the doors would not open.

Played this on zE's server the other day. Fun little map. On round 2 we had 3 engies and 1 soldier, and we were defending against 6 offense pretty solidly. It finally fell apart when our solly went offense, so it was 3 engies vs 6 or 7 offense. They finally broke through!

Looks pretty cool from the screenshots. I haven't played it yet, but vertigo was one of my favorite CS maps. You still have the scream when people fall?

Yeah I was there, that was impossible to get past ya. Yeah the door bug popped up. Other than that the map is really good. Never played it in CS but I like it in FF

So, we did a beta test. Guess what, its still bugged. I produced an epic failure. The thing that gets me, is that the gameplay is so good, and everybody likes it, yet its the map thats buggy/unplayable. I have a couple theorys i will try via lua and hammer, but if i exhaust those avenues and it still failes. Bad things will start happening, like me abandoning project, or making drastic changes.
