Maybe you should reread it, he said you weren't 'advanced' because you can't use your middle finger for the mousewheel. Whether or not you use it to jump was never mentioned in his post.

You can still use the jump queue with the wheel. You just have to have another button cancel your jump command... and only do it once. MWheel down for +jump, MWheel up for -jump.

Really only if you >reaaaaally< wanted to use the mouse wheel.

+mwheel is good in qw and HL. Since the team implemented the jump queue I would have to agree that by not using it you are handicapping yourself.

Also, I have known a few players that used three fingers +thumb on their mouse. They were mostly DM players that used mwheel up and down for weapons. Mwheelup shock rifle, mwheeldn lightning gun.
