Toxic community

I'm not the best player in Fortress Forever, far from it. But, I've noticed that almost any server I go to, everyone who's at least half decent and even those who aren't are very toxic towards everyone. Why is the community so hostile?

Well that's how the internet goes. Have you seen the diablo3 forums. Now that's a toxic community. This games free enjoy what they made for you to play. I usually just BF4 and TFC. I'm only toxic about spy being so gimp. That's been going on ever since spy gas was removed for no legit reason. If I saw FF being worked on more with no updates etc etc I'd put a decent amount of play time in and continue building maps and getting better with hammer.

all communities have toxic players/members. some more than others i think. don't give up there are plenty of good people in this community. my advice gravitate towards them and ignore the remaining bad apples.

imo the small playerbase has alot of do with it, that is indirectly.

when i first started playing it was even more hostile. i think its gotten alot better as of late which is a good thing.

I must concur, it appears the community has improved a bit at least on Moto's server.

What's wrong with that? If you don't hack, shouldn't that act as a compliment to your 'skill'? Besides, you need proof to ban a hacker from my server so whoever spoke any slanderous words against you is using a baseless argument that should not be taken seriously unless they can prove it. And that goes for anyone accused of being a hacker.

It's because there are always going to be those people who feel like they deserve to sit at the back of the short bus.
