is this map "inspired" by dm_lockdown and made from the ground up, or is this just a cut and shut job?

Its not supposed to be that big of a deal kinda map, just a simple port of dm_lockdown to a CTF map with some tweaks. But the way its going, i think I might do some more brush work, so far I have:
-knocked down 2 walls -added 2 rooms -mirrored the map -reskinned half the map to red -Added base signs with lighting -Rebuilt 2 of the rooms so they made sense after I mirrored the map I plan on raining some of the hallways, adding some more lighting to a few rooms and maby remove the barrels (i plan on removing the gravity gun for the test map server) So the final answer is Yes, it is a cut job, but I am hoping that it will turn out to be a good cut job |

You call yourself a community mapper? I hope not because you're really bad at it, even at ripping off from one.

Exacly my point. Just don't ever open hammer again - instead, do something else in your life (since you stated that you spent 20 hours on this to click things ---> delete and change 2 textures [1 min] and some light entitys [5 min]) Lewllzlzlz!

You can open Hammur, just start with a clean slate instead of "reworking" someone elses map, you will sure learn a lot more about mapping an dmake a much better FF map.

Right, a map that NO ONE will play it in FF for CTF because it just won't work. Not to mention that the brushwork and the map itself is very ugly looking, one of the ugliest maps that valve has created.

That's not saying much.
...unless you include CS:S maps. And I don't see what the point in giving someone a hard time about a funny little side project is. |

Played... first spent few minutes out of my life downloading this. Then I run it (yes with teamplay on yadda yadda) it starts up fine as rebel, but when I look right FPS go down and HL2 DM crashes. When I start up as Combine, and run to the door, crash.
Anyway, lockdown isnt the most TFC friendly thing. I love TFC because the maps arent uneaven (exept few). Just make map from the beginning and dont cook copy pasta mmkay. |
