Laptops
So here's the story. I'm using a Ghetto laptop that's basically rigged together. It's an old 1.2 P3 with 512 Ram. However, it has between 8 and 9 hours of battery life. I would like a new laptop since the mobo is having issues
All I need on the laptop: - Wifi - Web Browsing - IMing - Office 2003 - Remote Desktop - 2 USB ports - Over 3 hours of batter life - Light weight - Window XP Pro What I DO NOT want: - Optical Drive, I don't need one or want one - Vista. I want a simple low-end system I would like to stay on the $500 (USD) price range. I'm using it for typing and slacking off... I have no need for gaming power... my desktop can do that. Thanks! |

Have you looked at the new Atom based laptops? They're small and I suspect REALLY gentle on power consumption...no optical drive and have wifi.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about.
