Wireplay have banned me based on something that occured probably 4 years ago - Page 3

The later days of TFC saw quite an increase in the number of people cheating or simply being Muppets with the sole purpose to annoy others and spoil games. This was simply because people were bored of the game, knew it was end of life and simply didn’t give a crap if they were banned from the game due to the fact they knew they’d be playing something else within the next few months anyway. Wireplay does operate cross game banning and did pretty much publicize this on numerous TFC bans.

Now I’m all for un-banning people and giving them a second chance, and at over 1500 perm bans I couldn't even say all deserve the permanent status. However, if people do approach us and discuss their ban then we can review and consider revoking it.

Invading league games is quite serious and would many think a 6month ban is sufficient for such an offence, especially considering from this thread it seems there is little remorse? And what happens when the unbanned next become bored?

I've been banned for years at a time from all leagues

literally YEARS

I plyaed in maybe 3 UKTFCL seasons, the other 5 or so I was around for I was banned

I have credentials... I was a ref for Barrysworld TFC league, that must count for something?!

Anyway, b0nes is going to let me know tonight his decision.

It would be a sad day for Fortress if I was to remained banned... it's not even like I play often. FF need as many players as possible don't you think?

I have 20 CD keys, so invading in TFC wasn't an issue... nobody could stop me. Obviously I don't want to shell out so much for TF2 etc

I Totally disagree. Unbanning you seems it would do more damage to the mod. When you get bored, you disrupt other people's games.

Oh, and your not banned from FF, or TFC. You are banned from Wireplay.

As a Wireplay TFC Admin (Warspite) - I Would be very dissapointed to see you unbanned.

One player will not make or break the mod. On the other hand, a single asshole can ruin the experience for dozens of people and severely damage the community.

Friday13th ruined other people's game experience for his own pleasure. He knew the consequences. There is evidence that he is a serial offender including a very recent incident. He shows no remorse, only concern about his own ability to play again. He also has an air of arrogance and seems to assume that because he (says he) is good, he should be afforded special consideration.

He is exactly the type of player who deserves to be banned permanently, ideally across the whole game.

i have to agree..

on another note could a moderator lock this thread please? if you want to bitch about being banned from a server take it to their website. personally, as an admin on a tfc and ff server your pleas are useless to me. the admin who banned had reason(as you've stated), and as a fellow admin i respect his ability to kick or ban individuals who cause trouble, and further more it was his/his clans server and he/they have EVERY right to ban you if they want to. your not going to get help here.

If I've banned a player on one server/mod why would I want that same player on a different servers/mod? It's the same POS player, I think it teaches a better lesson to use one ban list for ALL servers/games. Once they're off my servers, I don't care.
