The "Not Playing FF" screwups thread
I do this a lot myself...
I just bought the OB, so finally I can try out some TF2 instead of whoring it at my friend's house, and I am bound to try to conc jump as the Scout or something similarly stupid. What sort of fuckups do you guys do while playing other games?

lol all of those! In a match generally too...still clan with one of my old TFC clans and I do that stuff all the time!
Same with trying to go pyro in TFC...I forget that he sucks and generally get raped. Also trying to "fly" with the pyro's flamethrower!

I have the opposite problems. I'll give you a few examples of what I do and you'll have it figured out.
In FF: 1. I have all my primary weapons for each class binded 1-3 anything past three isn't worth using. 2. I often build my dispenser next to me and my SG only to remember my dispenser isn't useful at all as a dispenser. 3. I run in front of SGs while cloaked only to forget they can see me. 4. I can't seem to figure out why nobody has any intelligence. 5. I try to double jump as a scout/fight another class as a scout. 6. I forget that my melee is useless and does nothing. For whatever reason if I play TFC I'm just fine. I think I've played it so long that I switch weapons and play it by pure instinct. In TF2: 1. I often det my sticky bombs after they have been on the ground for awhile thinking they'll blow up on their own if I don't. 2. When enemy engineers get close to my sticky bombs I get scared they'll blow them up only to remember they can't. 3. I try to build sentry guns up high so they can't be naded. 4. I try to infect enemy players as medic. 5. I run up to SGs as a Spy and start spamming the F key (switches weapons in TF2 with my config). 6. I build a SG and then try to go on the front lines of battle and get owned. |

Haven't played TF2 in a while, but when I did:
Think, "we need caps" and switch to Medic. Build a dispenser on the Flag. Rocket-jump. It just does too much damage IMO. Press the grenade buttons. Take the flag, er, "intelligence" to the battlements on 2fort. |

The Rocket jump doesn't deal any where near as much DMG anymore be_.
Also, I'm ashamed I know that.

I constantly hit the G button in TF2 to throw a grenade only to stand there and taunt and helplessly watch my character get slaughtered

My bads
Snapping into TFC mode, I try to take on a Pyro as a Medic with my shotgun.....gotta try not to make that mistake anymore.....better to run away while priming a nade while hitting the Pyro with super nail gun.
I nade SGs as a Spy.......wtf was I thinking?!? I coulda' saboed that mofo! I backstab as a Spy while disguised, and then I start to disguise as the class I killed.......wtf am I a moron? After playing the Pyro for a while, I think that I'm immune to fire no matter what class I am.......dumbass. I gotta stop trying to poison Medics......or guys fighting with them......whatadumbasswasteoftime. I gotta stop forgetting about gravity when I'm weak.

Annoying people since 1986

I mostly play offence HW in TFC, and when I use another class (both FF or TFC) I seem to think out of habit that I have the same firepower as an HW, BIG MISTAKE!

usually, games have 3 main types of weapons: melee, secondary and primary
i have my FF keys bound so that 1 = melee, 3 = secondary, 4 = primary with a wasd set up i keep throwing the flashbang on cod4 because it's bound on 4, which is my normal primary weapon slot for FF (supernailgun, nailgun, IC, rocket, mini, shotty depending on classes) on Moh:a i get surprised when i see enemies and when i try to shoot, i get clicks; i keep expecting auto reloading |

I keep pressing 3 to try and bring out my knife in FF.
I might just end up switching the bindings in TF2. |

If I am at the computer, I press my KP_INS key when talking on the phone.
(voice-chat key, in case you couldn't figure that out on your own.) Yeah....when I'm not playing ANY games....I still do this.

I was playing as a Spy on FF the other day and I walked up to an enemy medic and stood there, waiting for him to start healing me.
I got aids and died. lol |
