Eh I don't know really. I do know once as a kid I seen my light switch flip itself on. I'm sure there is some explanation for why it happened but at the time I was scared to death.

I wonder how come there really isn't any real scientific study of ghosts. Probably because they don't exist.

I share similar experiences... where I could not explain things away and saw things I didnt know what to make of at night in some of the homes I lived in... but I'm sure now some of those things could be rationaly explained away, I just know nothing has happened in my new home which leaves me to wonder if it wasnt just juvenile imagination... but I do have perpetuating memmories and an instilled un-easyness.

Ghosts are entirely a creation of imagination. There is no way to prove or disprove them because there is nothing to go on.

I hold school that ghosts and the majority of human phenomena has explanations (much like everything else!) ijn physics and neural projection, or as it's scientifically known, Mental Projected Force.

I wonder what kind of a person first came up with the idea of a ghost anyway.

I find myself confused about this subject honestly and in need of personal clarification... I do believe there are properties of the human psyche that we have not yet tapped into as we use much less of our brain than there is to be used and perhaps they could be responsible for projections or halucinations related to what we have subconciously formulated.
Things like people reporting ghosts telling them to get out of homes, commit mass murder, kill themselves, worship the devil, or kill their spouces might be subconciously projecting their 'unspeakable' wishes or reactions. People describe out-of-body experiences offten, even the non-religious, where they take a ghostly form... while I think this phenomenon is directly related to phantom limb phenomenon, I also think it might corrolate with unconcious projection. The current theory is that the corridor of light that you see when dying is the vision you get when your brain slowly dies. I find this personaly pertinent as this is one of the few last strings of doubt that holds me from moving on from agnostic to new atheist. I have a problem shaking the 'unkown' factor off. |

Yeah.... ever watched a show where they just follow ghost hunters around? It's laughable.
Watch the Bullshit! episode on it. That should remove all doubt. |

Real ghosthunters wouldn't have television shows. Just like magicians: If you've heard of his or hers name its a scam.

There's a PROVEN theory about people who see ghosts, and also have cieling fans. The vibrations from the fans (or other things) match the natural frequency of your eye, and as a result your eye will vibrate (so small u cant feel it).
This resulting vibration can cause you to see things moving in the corner of your eye. THIS HAS BEEN PROVEN kkthx. |

No, he does closeup magic.
Also, every thing involving any type of magic is an illusion. |
