What problem does the computer have? It might be fixable.

Compile? I can't even get to the compile stage. I make a brush and it doesn't seem to appear on in the camera window. In fact, entities won't even show up in the camera window. Nothing does. It's just blank.

ohh, classic problem, easy fix... first click the camera button (far left, 3rd from top) then click somewhere in the grid near your brush/entity/whatever... then scroll around in your camera pane till you find it.

happy to help

What? The camera doesn't start at 0,0,0 like it did in 3.4? Because I make a brush that should be able to be seen from that point and it's not visible.

Basically there's no camera to start with. You have to make one. It's not THAT difficult to fathom, is it?

Hammer for Source mapping doesn't work for me so I removed it from my computer. HL mapping however, works perfectly.
