I'm having problems understanding why people are having such a hard time, and making it such a big deal to mute someone is playing music. Of which, some player are actually enjoying a little music to go alone with their gaming. Why do people have to sit there and bitch and moan when they HAVE to press tab and click a name. Can i just declare that this is a game, and its meant for enjoyment and fun. Music makes it more enjoyable

I'm pretty sure i gave no effort into looking for another post about hlss so if this is a repeated thread I'm sorry.

If you want to listen to music, why not listen to a cd instead. Much.. much better quality and you also wont annoy people. Just because you like a song doesn't mean everyone else does, nor even want to hear it.

Wrong. Some people in pubs are trying to get better to strengthen their competitive skills. Annoying people with music only hurts them. This game is not only mean for fun; there's that competitive region out there.

If you want music, play it to yourself. I'm having problems understanding how you DON'T see how playing [horrible] music ingame isn't annoying. I've been in servers with you, you started playing crap music in the middle of a 3v where people rely on comms- you playing music kills that part of the game.
Yes I did end up muting you, problem with that is I dont know if you will suddenly contribute and say something useful instead of spamming your mic. Also, you ended up getting globally muted by an admin.. do you think people want to listen to your music if everyone and their mom mutes you?
Do us, and yourself, a favor and just stick with a cd/ipod/mp3/wtf/bbq player. Better quality music for you, better quality of play for us.

Yea, almost nothing annoys me as much as someone playing music in a server.

I may be able to squelch you, but i don't know if everyone else I'm trying to communicate with has. If they haven't, I won't be able to communicate with them over voice comms.

It's supposed to be a team game, and voice comms add to that and to the fun. If you want to play music, please don't annoy everyone else with it.

I used to play music all the time in my old CS server, and most people enjoyed it. Of course, most of the time it was when no one had anything better to do, and everyone wanted to fuck around and dance to corny music, but nevertheless, music has it's time and place, and that's why HLSS exists.

If you play music, you have to be thick skinned. There will automatcially usually be someone who starts belligerently screaming into the mic, or insulting your style of music.

The same goes for the people in the server. You have a mute button, use it. Only admins can control the music in the server, either by making it a rule, or gagging the person who's playing the music.

Some people look at HLSS as making the game more annoying, and cause less people to play. Some people look at it as making the game more fun, and more of a feeling of having a good time, like going to the pub with your friends(puunnnnn).

Either way, there's no sense in bitching about HLSS or the constant bickering because of it here because it won't solve anything.

3v3 that we played, the one i filled in for you, i didn't play music in the middle of it. Sure i used my hlss to play the cs sounds for rgr that and neg but thats it, I'm afraid you got that wrong.

let me see if i can explain this to you. we go in there to play a game NOT listen to somebodies elses fucking music. we like to communicate while we play and CANT because ignorant fucks like you are spamming the mic with music.
