Yes, the Pyro's flamethrower has a push to it. It only affects the person using it.

The push is strong enough to give you a couple more units up and forward on a jump, or to keep you a fair bit above the soft bhop cap to give you some impressive speed. Unfortunately you can't see where you're going.

Looks absolutely amazing apart from animations when players are jumping/BH/concing/sliding the legs should move and kick like they are walking on air like Spiderman in the first film when he's jumping accross the buildings

To me q3 was like the utter monument of perfection in regards to movement. The way the players slightly curved into their momentum when they moved and stuff (unless you got wicked fast in which you turned into a pretzel, lol).

It's a shame no one ever made a fortress mod with q3 strafejump/circlejump physics, they are really the best set for movement I've ever used balance/skill wise.

oh, and it mentioned that there were significant updates to cornfield - I dont see em.

I didn't have anything against the movement itself, but rather how the players looked in the air -- like FF players do currently -- they just kinda hold an odd pose throughout the jump.

Quite likely that the changes weren't in the beta release...the same way that SD2's were not.

More or less...the SD2 and Cornfield changes came within the last day or so of final tweaking for the vid...and I wasn't gong to make all the betas re-do all the jumps at that point, or else you would have had to wait longer for an update ;D
