Seems a bit arrogant to include yourself as one of the choices and then kind of impractical to list more than one person on a choice.

None of those players in that list did anything amazing. How can you lead a clan during a year when there isn't a league. Should have been titled "Best server admin of 2007". And there were some great servers and admins. Without some of them we wouldn't have had places to play.

Other than saying "WE ARE CLAN LOL" there wasn't much done. You are getting too into this to be rewarding people with some title and nominating yourself given that short of creating this topic you haven't done anything.

You're right sobe... breaking away from a group of people that I enjoyed playing with immensely just to make another group so that a league could be formed instead of given up on. Nothing at all. That didn't help the community.

Providing servers with our own time and/or money for a dying community (in some cases hundreds of dollars like CrazyCro in NFO) that's nothing.

Spreading the word about the game to get more people to play it so more clans can pop up. That's nothing at all either.

Running scrims and making videos to promote FF. Not a big deal.

Dedicating hours to mapping and modeling. Meh, nothing fantastic.

I'm sure you've done all of the above just like the leaders of these various clans have. As well as providing a positive and fun environment, just like your post. Didn't you ever learn that if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all?

You want to know why I voted for myself? Because I didn't think anyone else would. Do you want my honest opinion of who the "Best Clan Leader of 2007" was?

CrazyCro of NFO. I don't think anybody realizes how much money he spends monthly to provide servers for FF, TFC, TF2, and DoD (last time I checked). He does it silently, with class, without coming in to the forums and bitching about everything he sees.

If not Cro, then 82694 for all the work he's done for the game itself, work that I don't see you doing.

Before you complain about something, make sure you have either a.) Good reason or b.) The ability to defend yourself for making that statement.

Personally Vicious/KubeDawg got my vote. Just for the simple fact that when NFO decided to drop/not do UGC which ever the case may be they both got together and made it happen by forming sYn. If I remember right AE was the fourth then NFO dropped and with in a week or two sYn popped on the seen.

If I could have voted for all the people I would have. Each leader spends a certain amount of time each day (some more than others) corresponding with its members, Checking numerous forums, Searching for new maps, updating necessary server files, out of pocket expenses for server costs, and a whole bunch of other shit that I won't go into. 417 and I took the stance to see what we could do to help FF. We both enjoy the game immensely so that was the stance we took.

417 and I also don't run a dictatorship Before decisions are made we ask for clan input via our forums, all members have the right and are expected to voice their opinions/suggestions on all clan related issues including new members vote. If they choose not to thats on them.

Now as far as the AE Clan as a whole Each member picked his own number so it is not exactly random. take me for instance [AE] 82694 what could my numbers stand for? If you break it down like this 8-26-94 you come up with the date Aug 26, 1994 if you want to know what it stands for find my post in this Thread.
Take [AE] 417 now what the hell could 417 stand for? If your familiar with the California Penal code "417" is a man brandishing a firearm.

So each members numbers mean some thing to them at the least it just might be their favorite number. And yes having all numbers seems to help confuse people. It also sets us apart/unique from other clans.

But here is a behind the scenes look. Most if not all of the above mentioned in the poll put in countless hours of beta testing/wiki standards team/forum mods and who knows what else. So it goes a lot deeper than just what you see on the surface.

There are many many variables to determine your pick for best leader. I chose Soulja not soo much for "leading" his clan, but for the public relations he performs in game.

I believe there's more to leading than just "victory" and Soulja imo has by far been the friendliest person to newbs and pubbers out there. He's a social butterfly, which means he draws people to him wherever he plays. He's always chatting and making people feel welcome no matter what server he's on (sure he gets cranky sometimes, but who doesn't?).

It's people like this who can participate in the competitive league environment as well as accept "noobs", that'll help the game grow.

I'd put money on Soulja being able to join any empty random server he wants, and have it fill up within half an hour. He's that type of player.
