it came out in 1999, get 70 dollars and buy a DX9 video card, or get 40 dollars and get a DX8 video card

This may get me playing FF again. Sadly all Episode 1 Engine games are crashing on me withen 5 minutes of starting with a dllcache error.

I have tried everything I possibly could (shutting down all programs before playing, different graphics and sound settings, deleting the file and letting it be remade, uninstalling and re-installing CS: Source) but no fix available.

I can't wait for this release

Just delay the damn thing and wait until jon is finished with the code change. The Episode 1 engine is a buggy piece of shit that crashes every time it gets a chance. One of the tings that made me quit FF was the POS engine.

All of the other mods are doing code changes (Black Mesa), so why not do it and stay ahead of the game?

I haven't messed with the OB version of FF since I made this dev journal. I don't think anyone else has either. We will at some point, but right now the focus is on getting 2.1 released.

So yeah, 2.1 won't be using the Orange Box engine unless we delay 2.1 just do do that, but I seriously doubt that will happen.
