Imbrifer, in all fairness there's been several technological hurdles that have stood in the way advancing the electric car as a viable replacement for the internal combustion engine. Battery Tech is one of them. I tend to believe this is not something the established special interests are quietly opposing as battery tech is not limited to just vehicles and is far broader. That area more than any other will move the EV forward as it progresses.
