The annoying thing, is that the non-american teams are at a bit of a disadvantage. The fact the the U.S. teams can instantly understand radio commands instead of having to read them when they hear a stream of jibberish, is a big, big help.

You can change that. Generally though, (especially for the MEC), I understand what each important phrase means ingame. (you've lost a point, you've gained a point, etc).

There's an English only VO option. Although, I've had it checked and still heard the jibberish. God I hate the jibberish. It's like if I wanted to hear jibberish I would have bought the chinese/french/spanish/taiwanese version of the game or something.

Indeed, Mulchman. Can someone point me in the direction of this English only toggle?
Oh man, just got back from a few hours on an absolutely amazing server. I gained at least 500 points just now. THe guys in my squad were amazing, and with 14 on 14, we consistently had all the points on the map that we could. It was sweeeeet. |

It's in the audio options, on the bottom left corner quadrant of the screen, I think.
It's a checkbox for "English VO Only" if I'm remebering right. |

Heh, yeah Mervaka, I've heard a lot of stuff in BF2 and DoD. In DoD, I could swear the Germans yell "See what I got on" all the time
I must try that English only though, muchos annoying. I was just reading the requirements for all the medals and stuff, and they're fucking insane. You have to log like 250 hours as some classes to get them. Crazy!!1! |

250 hours is nothing compared to the expert badges, ribbons, and those super elite badges that no one has yet - like where you need expert in all the classes plus some additional shit...

That site has some missing requirements.
For instance, the one that requires 10 hours of commander, squad leader, and squad member also requires that you get like 40 some team points during a round after racking up all those hours. Same for the one that requires 25 hours of squad leader and squad member - you gotta get those hours then get 50 ish team points in a round to get it. And I know when I got the commander badge and also the ribbon I had 5 less points or so than they say you need - so again, that's just a rough guide. And yeah, they still have the basic knife badge wrong... it's JUST 7 knifes in one round - no global amount of knife kills or anything. I think I have a better site bookmarked... nope, it's on the home computer.

I play in short bursts, so I'm okay with it still, but I know what you mean.
Question: Where can I download Battlecorder? |

You don't need to download BattleRecorder. BattleRecorder is a server-side functionality that's analogous to recording a demo in HLTV; as such, records everything that goes on in the server.
So, after you play a round in a server that has the BattleRecorder going, you go out to your main BF2 screen, and click on "Community" and that's where you can download the recordings. |

'Twas what I though, Trepid. However, people say that you can record single player games. Is this done the same way? I do'nt think so...
BTW, isn't 'twas just the most awesome word ever? Yeah, thought so. |
