They're picking random IPs from the internet.

RONG.
I heard they're gonna stand at the dairy queen and make people promise not to say anything. If you agree, they hand you a computer with the software on it already because FF doesn't have the bandwidth. |

I heard, that for publicity, if you register on the forums, when you play FF, your post count gets transfered over into 'FF Money', which you can use to help your team by purchasing upgrades, like cloaking capes, or additional engy buildables, like teleporters.

But when you trade in posts for real cash, they only give you 50%. And they round down to the nearest dollar.

They're throwing people's names into a hat, except that your name gets thrown in as many times as you have posts. This way, the top posters won't necessarily get in, but they'll have a better chance.

So basically anyone like myself who is a die-hard TFC fan, but only found out about FF recently is screwed to get in the beta?? Unless we spam the the forum.
No offense to people that have been here a while... but your cutting out a lot of people who could be great assets at beta testers. I myself am I level designer, granted I haven't touched the Source Engine for mapping. But I understand what goes into making a map & game design in general. Just a though guys... a closed beta shouldn't be a popularity contest. |

Correct. But beta testing is delayed due to the devs spending their current time building a number of large temples in the name of the leading forum poster to show how much post counts mean to them.

The beta postcount debacle isn't real! It's a bad joke gone too far. The first wave of beta is just close friends that they know they can trust, and it'll expand from there. That said, don't count on getting into the beta while it's closed, it just ain't likely.

Ok, wow, shadowdane wins the forums today.
I should start keeping score, and change my title to 'Official FF Referee'. But I'm already the Loremaster and Soothsayer and I don't want to hog all the administrative positions... |

Even if they did it by forum post count, which they're not, if you was a die hard TFC fan you wouldn't have just found out about FF.

Maybe he's just been sleeping. That would account for his terrible comprehension of sarcasm, a common side effect of prolonged sleep.
