Whatever. Liberal indignation doesn't really hit the mark here. Go to Saudi Arabia and go question the man in the street about his religion and see what happens to you.

And I think we've been through the whole is Islam a religion of peace thing before. I was just pointing it out again.

Ekim: His story, in his own words

"When I came across someone who questioned Islam instead of Christianity"

"I'm still not over the shock of it," sobs Ekim in an uncharacteristic show of emotion, "and GOD only knows if I will ever recover."

As we sit and discuss that fateful day on which someone put the boot on the other foot...(cont'd p.56, column 5, just under the Orbituaries which no-one reads)

No, Levy, you're a bigoted prick using half-assed logic to try and defend an irrational and disgusting prejudice. Fuck you.

would a thread entitled 'Damn Muslims' have been locked straight away - an honest question, not sarcasm.

Depends on the content, obviously. There's a difference between what's been posted on this thread about Christianity and your brash steryotyping of all muslims as being incapable of civil debate. If you really can't see that I don't know what to tell you. In case you edit your commetns later as you seem wont to do..

edit: and you're not nearly intelligent enough to write for private eye, get over it.

It would depend on the content.

It is true that such a thread would probably receive a greater degree of scrutiny. At least in America, Christianity does not need as large a degree of protection; Muslims, like other minorities, tend to be more carefully protected against discrimination since they have significantly less repesentation, and thus, less “inherent” protection.

In any event, this thread is over.

ekiM and Levy, continue arguing in private; if I see this again you will both get significant probations.
