got this when changing avatar to a custom one:

General Error

Could not write avatar file to local storage. Please contact the board administrator with this message

Yeah that happen to me too when i tried to upload the avatar from a website so I save the avatar to my computer and I uploaded it from there

Wasn't it like that from the start? I remember back when I first joined it seemed like you had to upload yourself.

To this day, URL upload does not work for me.

i imagine remote is just dead and broken anyway
maybe php running in safe mode kills it, i dunno

What file type did you try to upload? And what was its size?
