Considering most of the official maplist is based towards league style play and not the free for all servers it will be harder (notice xo2 bridge being modified etc)

So some players will still be total fucktards.

Well, the server I'm going to host will basically be for newbies only.
I'm going to heavily moderate it and have (hopefully) some of the team as mods as well as helpers to get new players started and ready to move on to other servers.
That's not to say that good players wont be allowed to play there, just that I'd like to breed a bit more "mature", helpful atmosphere.
We want as large a community as possible.
Anyone owning from the start, taunting, picking on others, or otherwise ruining the game for the starters will be dealt with in the appropriate manner.

I fondly remember a few servers around in the early days that had similar interests. They were always great to play on.

I think there will be plenty of servers with experienced players on them. They can deal with the "trash".

I completely agree that servers that plan to be heavily adminned should "prune" those who are unwilling to explain concepts.

I may be a bit of an ass to some of the more experienced players that deserve it, but I've always made it a point to help out the newer players, and I hope most other experienced players will have the patience to explain things as well.

We were all newbies once. I've made it a point to answer any questions asked about the game. With this kind of crowd competition's gonna be heated. Be interesting to see the results.
