Then buy it on steam and use the backup feature in steam to put it on CD if you really need a CD to collect dust. Bam, you just got what you would've bought in the store.

Course, now you'll probably say you want the box with it so that can collect dust as well.

If you knew how big my "Dusty Box" collection is...you wouldn't ask such a silly question. I probably have video game boxes that are older than you are.

This is somewhat old.
Anyway, maddox is an exeption. Steam is one of the most secure online shops right now.

No. I prefer to pay cash whenever possible. I very rarely use my card anywhere, and since it's tied to my bank account anyway(which I never keep a lot of money in)....there is a lower risk of losing out.

I did just run across that info....and I rarely use a CC on the net, or in RL. I admit to being paranoid, which is one reason I'm not likely to get taken for a ride.

I also check my statements.

In any case, I had never heard of this incident...which bothers me a bit. If there was even a chance of it happening, why not admit the truth? Steam/Valve DOES have a record of burying the truth, and complaints from their forums. But no...keep a lid on the problem, while doing nadafuckingthing to rectify it.
Maybe it was JUST the cybercafe's #'s that were stolen...but how can we be sure?
