Some of this may be kind of sick/disturbing to you. Sorry if you're offended.

So I just finished watching "To Catch a Predator" on NBC. In case you've never heard of it, its basically a group of people that pose as young boys/girls and try and get predators on the internet to come and meet them and stuff in order to get them arrested and whatnot. This 40+ something guy was thinking he was going to be meeting up with a 14 year old boy to do all sorts of nasty shit to him. The catcher on this? He brought his 5 year old son along with him to the FUCKING HOUSE. The only words I could say/think were "What the fuck?!" What is wrong with these people? Seriously. What the fuck? "Hey sup chick. You're 14? That's cool. I'll stick it in your butt at your house. Sure, I'll meet you at your house!" I'm at a loss for words.

My cousin's friend (21 but looks 17 lol, he's also super short) got contacted by a 15 year old on MSN. They talked and got along fine. The chick started to say that she wanted to meet him and he said fine I'll take you out to eat or the movies but she wanted him to meet her at her house. He didn't wanted too until he got convince. He went there and got arrested. They checked his computer for kiddy porn but didn't find anything not even normal porn. He was let go yet the police where piss off I guess since they keep on putting traps on him. He checked/gave credit at some store, not sure which one. But disguise cops came asking for fraud in helping them out for those with bad credit or those who where illegally suposebly. He never felt for those traps. Then next thing you know the FBI investigate him and find out that he was illegal in the country. He's in jail right now and will be deported back to Columbia. He was caring for his mom, he work just for her but now who knows what will happen to her. I think she's going back as well on her own choice

I’m all for punishing true sexual predators, but I wonder whether law enforcement has gone too far in some cases. Kind of like the “war on drugs” – not all drug offenses warrant the kind of punishment received, and not all situations classified as “criminal sexual conduct” fit their punishment either.
Plus, the second law enforcement brings up protecting “the children” as a justification for its actions, the courts tend to bend over backwards.

No kidding Jiggles, there was an article in the news right about the time I graduated high school, summer of '99, and it compared the sentences of two criminals. One was a murderer, 2nd degree, got 7 years after good behaviour. The other was an older man, 60's or so, got 99 years for growing his own weed.

If you can demonstrate that someone is in fact a Pedophile I think incarceration is wrong. Just execute them. I have yet to read anything to suggest that these "people" can be rehabilitated and the recidivism rate is near 100%. They prey on the most vulnerable of humanity and they are a plague on the race.

Seeing how humans become fertile in their early teens, it made them able to bear children for longer times. Since 40 was considered old then, it made sense to have children as soon as possible just for the continued existence of our race. But on the other side, children have been used as such for thousands of years. Hell, even a fifty years ago it was not uncommon for older family members to take advantage of their younger female relatives. Doesn't mean it was acceptable, but values change, for the better thankfully.

Sending pedophiles to prison is worse than executing them; they'll be beaten and raped on a daily basis, they're on the bottom of the prison pecking order. Some of the shit I've read about happening to them seems worse than death, sometimes.
