Reminder about FF job postings... tell your friends!
Although we're all busy working away on FF, we've lost some folks recently (due to work, uni, & etc). So, we could use some additional people to help speed things up. We're currently looking for folks who can support the following roles:
If you feel you are qualified then shoot us an e-mail (with sample work attached) to fortressforever at gmail.com. If you know someone who might be able to take on one of those roles, please point him/her our way. Thanks!

I'm guessing "reasonable" equipment != $30 headset.
I wonder what I can get from school...

Reasonable equipment = proper variable compression mic, mixer, SPDIF out, SPDIF in to PC (whether onto Audigy 2, X-Fi, or Pro-Tools Box), and proper recording software (ie Audition, Pro-Tools, Cubase etc.).
That said, I'll shoot you guys an e-mail tomorrow with some voice samples. I needed a reason to get a new vocal mic anyhow I have one of those deep throaty jobbers and a flair for the dramatic. Oh and I was a TFC/CS match-caster for Gamecastradio back in the day, so screaming loudly about all things Fortress is my for-te... *groans* |

I'd like to give this a shot as well.
I intend to submit quite a few samples, but would like to know a few things first: You've already stated that you need grunts, yells, screams, etc. What I'd like to know is if you intend to have a set of character sounds per class. So each class gets their own set of, say, 15 sounds. Also, if you have time, I'd greatly appreciate a list of different words, sounds, sentences, sounds in reaction to an event, etc, that you would like to hear. I'd rather not submit an application without knowing precisely what you're looking for. Thanks! -Sastira |
