alright need some help with a stupid leak

ive made a room with trees. it apprently leaked. i made the room bigger, and it still leaked. i followed the pointline, and it seemed it went thru a friggen wall. uploading to megaupload, please insepct what is wrong what is "leaking" thanks.

There is more then one leak. It appears that if I change the glass texture to some other texture, the first one fixes. Having said that, if you use glass on an outer texture light will try to pass outside of it and go into space.

Another leak I found was in the roof of the room with the tree. That roof does not touch the wall, there is a noticable hole there.

ah, didnt notice that. so some stupid texture is effing me up? i didnt understand your directions, sorry. BTW, this is my first map ever, so thats why it looks pretty bad. im also having troble making doors and such. not that door texture needs to be changed, i got NPCs guarding it anyways.

ok i put a skybox all around it, it fixed the damned leak. THANK YOU so much! . now i can stop pulling my hair out. you got any idea as to make NPCs work? ill upload a new verison of the map very soon, one moment.

I havent checked your map but I just wanted to tell you that some textures when applied to an external wall will leak cause they're not really wall textures.

Glass, grates, metal trims and such won't seal your level.

Keep in mind that if the red line goes through a brush to exit the level, your problem is that exact brush, so check the texture that's applied to it.

Making a huge box around the entire level is the worst thing you can do to your map and will degrade performance. You better fight the leaks now imo. A good way to understand how mappers do it is by decompiling a real map and looking at how they handled the outside windows areas.

what? im not using this as a real map, only for a presentation for school. thats why i need desparte help with scripting.
