Playerbase?

Hey, I realize FF just came out. but since this is like the "new" TFC it seems like the playerbase is really small. I see around 100 - 200 people on. I am sticking to FF over TF2 for the league play.

I just hope more people get intrested in, so the leagues can pick up.

Also I am looking for a clan, I am a veteran QTF player back from the Mplayer days.. so hit me up if your recruiting

I see quite a few ETF players on the FF servers including a few from the ETF DEV Team playing. Most of the playerbase is made up of TFC players and n00bs.

The playerbase or lack there of is dying quickly. It's not even reaching it's 600 people peak it had for the last 2 business days. There under 500 people playing right now in fact. This is not a good sign at all.

While I know it's early in the it's life, this game needs some kind of advertising somewhere. This will not make it without more players.

Hoping TF2 players convert back in october isn't anything to look forward to either. Most of the TF2 players seem happy with the game, for some reason, and I don't think they'll be loading FF anytime soon.

Yea the beta release of TF2 has really drawn alot of attention from FF. zI've also heard alot of the same that TF2 is quite fun. However, i will not be a trend whore and cheat on the lovely lady Fortress Forever. I'm happy playing this.

Give it time, give it time. It's mid-week, players always go away during the mid-week. I think it will eventually level out and it will probably pick up over the weekend. All server admins saw a huge spike when the game came out, we've seen the drop at [o-t] just as servers world wide have the last few days. It will pick up like all game play does over the weekend, eventually the playerbase will even out. You can see the mid-week trend with each game (take a look below) Other then that, allow the TF2 frenzy to pass.

It's not the quantity of players that matter, but the quality. On a side note, TFC is dying VERY quickly. Our entire regular player base has moved to FF, we used to average about 100-200 even during the week.. yesterday only 34 people. Yowzaaa.

I agree. I'm working on getting my medic concing skills back up to par as before, and trying to use the additional trimping and ramp slide. I can post some demos once i can do some tricks lol. The source engine is a yeti to get used to for me.

Id say in about a month the playerbase will be alot bigger , when more people find out about it and people see that its free everything will be fine

Had to do that. It seems there is this one person who posted this same line on every involved TF forum for QWTF, TFC, Q3F, and ETF.
