Yeah...I'm new.
(sorry if this is in the wrong place...I didn't see a welcome sub, so...)
Hello. Well, I'm new here, and to FF. So, here's the deal. I played the original TF waaaay back in the day. Problem was, I was like, six at the time, so obviously didn't have the skills to make a difference. In fact, I got a kick out of blowing myself up Thing is, now that I'm older, I've been having a renewed craving for TF again...this time for real. But, as I've said, it's been ages, and though I know the basic strategy behind the classes, and the gameplay elements, all of that is from the original, and I don't know how it'd be different in FF. So, hello to you all. I look forward to playing, and if any of you have any advice, I'd welcome it. I'd even more welcome some practice time, but, eh...I'll take what I can get. For the record, my favorite class (based on my own preferences, not on skill) is the Engineer, with the Pyro second. Also, I've read thoroughly over the FF Wiki. welcome! Sounds like you've done a lot already, my only advice is to practice! If you have any questions post em here and somebody will help you out for sure!

Practice is such an ugly word for a "new person". Just play dude. Play in pubs, and play in pickups.
You will get better much faster playing pickups, if you can withstand the barrage of attacks on your skills. A few are doing it right now and they've shown improvements with leaps and bounds over the past couple months. |

I don't think it really matters if you are considered skilled or not, as long as you are having fun and aren't an asshole.
EDIT: At least in pubs, that is.
