Hai bliss! bliss_2fort still gets played occasionally!
To sum up the situation, no OT would've meant no site/beta hosting/bandwidth for years, or at least a struggle to find support. Yet having the most active pub server run by creepy authoritarian nut-jobs has undoubtedly put off many a new player, effectively negating large amounts of effort by the community and dev team to attract said newbies.
In short, you lose no matter what you do. I feel like that has been the case way too often in the FF community.
