You will find mapping for Source is so much easier than it was on TFC with all the extra features the Source hammer has. I'm not sure what type of maps you plan on making (I know you made conc maps in TFC) but we sure could use some more decent public server maps. Anyhow I hope you stick with the game as it's really fun and has a lot of potential
