soap isn't meant to kill germs

soap cleans you because it's made out of fats that suspend dirt and germs and get washed away with the water in the shower. because germs down the drain is the same as killing them since they're harmless to you now.

selling soap on how it "kills 99% of germs" is meaningless; superfluous like many products escalate to once in public consciousness

when they show on the commercial some woman wiping her countertop for germs -- germs are living things, they need to be in an environment that sustains them -- do germs eat countertop? why would they be there; if they were, they wouldn't live very long. a person should clean with dirt in mind, not germs (use basic soap water).
there's no reason to have disinfecting specifically in mind unless the house is old and moldy or someone in the house is sick or has been around a sick person at work

the purpose of this was to see if anyone disagrees or hear other thoughts
