I used to love the original UT. Unfortunately, I bought one of the large in-box packs for $15 last year, and it has TFC syndrome now. If you haven't been playing for years, it's tough to get back into, considering how much better everyone's going to be than you.
UT3 is probably your best bet. I haven't played it, however, so I can't tell you anything about how it is.
