To reiterate;
World Trade Center was based off real events and it sucked. That's fairly proof that you can fuck up historical events. Let me tell you why.
A movie is not an objective portrayal of a single event. If this movie simply put a camera in a war it would blow chunks. The director creates a story and dramaticizes the events to make it interesting. Here's another perfect example;
Gladiator is a historical real event. There was a coliseum, there were gladiators. However, to make the movie interesting, you follow one mans dramaticized journey, and add love etc. to the film.
MOVIES ARE NOT ACCURATE PORTRAYALS OF HISTORY. MOVIES ARE SIMPLY A FORM OF STORY-TELLING.
