laser question

I did this in the past, but I haven't done any mapping in over a year so I've forgotten entirely. I just need a basic tutorial on how to create team lasers as in Openfire etc. I know one exists...

A few questions for anyone with time.

I'm making a push-style map. I need some help; my cap points aren't working. Here's what I'm doing:

1)Creating a cap point brush, it's against a wall.
2)Cover it in another brush with the Trigger...
