Torchlight II
 

started following the new torchlight, and it looks fun. Another Diablo-ish title, but with 8 player's coop, random regenerated landscapes through every play through, and a load of other stuffs, the game looks like it could be really fun.

Honestly, if a four pack for the game releases, I'll consider gifting it to people who want tag along.

Also the 8 player co-op. I believe that increases spawns (in the randomly generated landscapes per every playthrough) and difficulty, but ups exp and loot! \o/. Regardless, if there's PvP, it's going to be totally worth it. 4v4, yessir. Can anyone say T2_Pickup? XD

Yes torchlight is by the guys who developed D1 + 2. Hence why D3 is so bad.

you'd be dumb to call D3 bad. just like, metzen'd. It's just not good like d1/d2

It is bad, every little part about it. It may have a few nice features like auto-gold pick up, oh my bad I think that's the only one. The flaws seriously out-weigh anything else. Don't get me started on the AH, gold or usd, pretty much shows what they desire the most.

Diablo 3 is Diablo 2 without the fun.

been playing it since the release. lemmie tell you, badass. the only problem i have with it is the blatant fact that its a complete ripoff. TL1 was a good game, but it copied D1, down to the story elements and all. TL2 copies the diablo series EVEN MORE than TL1 did...

I know everyone says "its by the same group of people no wonder". well ya know what? they could have made it not so obvious.

Otherwise, it is a GREAT game so far. 5 stars here.

Typical rant needs typical answer: Both Torchlight games are, as already stated by many, made by Runic Games. But.. get this, before splitting, they also made Diablo 1 and 2, so uh, holy shit, it makes sense for them to have simularities. A lot of them, even. What's the harm?

I mean honestly, might as well say any RPG game is a rip off of DnD. Borderlands 2 should be a rip off Diablo 3 right? No other game should have ranged classes, pets and desert wastelands right? Or God should sue us for producing games like Prototype and Infamous right? You know stupid this shit sounds? Silly.

And to be honest, the latest installment of the Diablo series was a massive disappointment, so is it really a big deal if Torchlight 2 reminded you of something in Diablo? Cause' it fucks Diablo 3 in the ass anyway.

BREATHE DAMMIT! lol. seriously, calm down. im not bitching about it. just said they could have made it not so in-your-face obvious. and like i said, TL and TL2 are awesome games. I am loving every minute of playing it. and i have played diablo 3 for about 20 minutes... it fuckin blows. I would rather play TL any day. blizzard is fuckin up left and right. D3 sucks, WoW is just a waste time, and all the damn years i waited for SC2... it was nowhere near as good as i thought it would be. Runic games needs to make a rts like SC.

I'm loving it so far, at act 3 right now and still going on. But yeah it is pretty god damn similar. Act 1 is the dark plains with hunters, zombies and forest beasts. act 2 is the desert with leapers and cave spiders and thank god there's no tunnel sections. Act 3 is the jungle and even has fucking fetishes for christ's sake. What's next, Act 4 is Hell?

That being said it's incredibly fucking fun, I like that they removed the bad stuff about D2, kept the good stuff, and build on what they made in TL1 (the pet system for instance).

Definitely picking this up when I get back home. To hell with D3. (HA!)
