Abiword and Spreadsheet Program

Heya, does anybody know of a good free Spreadsheet program? I downloaded SSheet (http://www.ds.unifi.it/~stefanin/AGR...SH/sssheet.htm) but I haven't been able to get it to read my .xls yet.

Hey, I also downloaded Abiword- looks pretty cool. But for some reason, it takes a little while to start up.

Here's linky to see if you're interested.

While I still prefer MS Office to OO.o, OO.o is a nice piece of software. However, the spell check is under-par and compatibility is kinda meh. The OO.o GUI is also way too simplistic and I feel lacks some of the basic tools that MS has to offer.

Note that I am not in any way a MS fan, but OO.o just doesn't cut it compared to MS Office. However I think the last version I used was a 2.0 beta... so it could have changed...

Free and it mostly works. I have had customers talk about thinking about buying MS Office. I download that for them and pretty much hear them say "Fuck if I'm gonna drop a few hundred bucks for something I can basically get for free".

Cool.

But is it possible to download just the components I need? Since I only need a word processor, and a spreadsheet program.

I've no need for any others (probably won't have the space for it anyway).

Office is free if you are a pirate, or if you go to a university they should give it to you. At least, at LSU they do.

Yeah except it is kind of really illegal for a business to deal in pirated copies of things, so I do not. You know, there is that whole "Software Business Association" or whatever it is called that likes to sue people who do that.

In the installer you should be able to choose what you want installed :)
