how to add bots?
 

hey guys i just got this game and really love it. the only problem is that there aren't enough populated servers. not servers with maps i want anyway. is there a way i can add bots to fill the whole where humans should be?

i want real bots not one that are basically just puppets that need to be ordered.

Bots aren't in the game sadly... But I think the devs are working on that.

oh right, shame i really want to play it. any suggestions on how i can ge on a decent server? if there is a way.

It will be a long time, if ever, before the bots come out...

I doubt the bots will ever make it. They're far to complex to program (so they're not dumb) and there are far more important things for us to use our coding resources on anyway.

make friends with members of ff and ask them or ask your other friends to try out ff. Usually it doesn't take long for lots of people to join after 2 or 3 people are already there.

^ That is the fastest way to get a server to fill up. A lot of people out there are sitting on the fence, trying to find a "good server" to join, and so they end up not playing at all. Just join a server with a good ping, or one you have admin rights on, and start inviting people to join you. Shit fills up quick.

bots are ok, if its 2/4 bots max, but when all servers gets filled with bots, that really sucks.

oh right.

wish i could get in a game. fortress forever should get an add campaign to raise awareness of this game because it's amazing.

206.217.134.170:27016 - has players most nights between 5pm and 11pm EST. It's a family-friendly server, so language/content is monitored.

no it was DrEvil who hasn't been around for a long time.

yeah, everything that you see that has to do with bots was done by Dr.Evil, but he left a long time ago...and there hasn't been any progress on it since then afaik.

Leave bots lol, look at tfc, probably have two times more players then ff, but you see a lot of 1 /2 /3 players in servers with 20 bots. Wich sucks hardcore

Yes it is still up and running. It's the OT (Old Timers) server.

And as Scuzzy posted back then, they do have a language filter that will automatically kick/ban you for an infraction. Just go on, and play without being a problem child, and you'll be fine.

I play there occasionally, and they are a decent bunch. Some people like that, some people don't. Simply put: If you can't deal with that situation, look to the other servers that usually have people on them.
