I'm sympathetic to letting leadmine play. there are some things that were out of his control that happened

there was an unfortunate snowball effect in giving him a bad reputation. it became more and more acceptable to see him negatively on things justified or not. it was like critical mass of bad press you can't recover from; I'm not saying he didn't deserve some of it, but not all.

he did do some bad things, but the effect from the derision of people became larger than necessary and it lead to worse things like the server crash because of being so badly shunned which I don't think he deserved. of course it was a great violation taking down the server and he deserved a long ban which he got.

to me, that the way he behaves in conversation doesn't agree with a lot of people doesn't translate to the game and isn't a good reason to be punished. I think people judge him too much by his love of storytelling

I think this would be LeadMine's 3rd or 4th chance. He was banned for wall hacking once before (he admitted it and was unbanned later, before any of the server crashing stuff happened iirc).

What new topic was I trying to derail this thread with? You asked for admin opinions. All the posts up to that point were from non-admins. That is relevant information.

Having spent 28.4 minutes being banned, I know that feel, bro.

Nope ive never been banned for cheating. after the remark and saying i did cheat though accusations flew. your the pro go watch all the old demo's mine are the ones with about 500 views not the ones with 0

So you're saying admitting to having cheats/using them in a pub had nothing to do with you getting banned?

But, anyway, this has nothing to do with why you need to stay banned. I'm just pointing out that the server crashing stuff was not your only mistake that needs to be forgiven.

As said by Squeek, why should we trust you that you didn't use mathacks in the pickup games, even after admitting to it.

I honestly hate the term video game hacking, because you are not hacking in the direct sense.

The second part of this is purposefully crashing servers,seriously be glad it wasn't my server which you did it on. This community would see enraged rice, which isn't a nice rice.

So far, you argument is showing you as a hypocrite, that you have no respect for others. You've proven this to me months ago when I was running the Skill Server, where you where banned and used another steamid to log in.

Also, Squeek is not trolling you, he doesn't know how to troll. He was pointing out two things, you used hacks and crashed servers in the past for not getting your way and/or because you threw a hissy fit.

Secondly, he pointed out that this is a decision of the #ff.pickup admins, not the community, and I would have it no other way, as I own the server that the channel uses on a daily basis.

You want to be unbanned, then you have to convince each #ff.pickup admin that you are worthy of being unbanned.

rofl apparently squeek never played tfc. on 2006 i hacked in tfc along with about 85% of the old tfc players who currently are playing ff nowdays... it was just for a very brief time tho hahaha.. Squeek rice.... and anyone else whos constantly tryin to attack me on this post and derail the thread keep hating
