I'm trying to create a new dedicated server. I used HLDS, but, no clue where to install FF after that was updated. And, no clue how to even start the server. please help. thanks :D

So did you install CS:S as your base install or hl2dm. Simply install the fortressforever folder to the same directory as the other source game.

Another good website is http://www.srcds.com/.
It has linux and windows server manuals on the site which can help you out with running a dedicated server!
