Well, I used it in TFC, so why not have it in FF? If someone is currently working on it, or could do so, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Wouldn't it look weird though, out of alignment with the "muzzle" flash and the rocket streak (moving from top right to center of screen)? How did it work in TFC?

There is a "bone" you assign to muzzle flash. You can't change where the rocket comes out of though.

It'll be rough looking I'm sure. Keep in mind whoever does this it would be nice to have one that is left handed, right handed, and the classic "centered" look. I'm talking first person of course.

Quick thing, the path for those files is incorrect, you need to install em one level further in the rpg folder.

Which files path? Also note that I took that screenshot with low texture settings and no specular so it will look better on your machines.

EDIT: Oh crap you are right, everyone make sure that you put each of those downloads into the "rpg" folder in the weapons folder, sorry.

Also I did not include some of the other sounds like the rocket exploding from old quake, if you want that just ask. Also can make this model transparent for anyone using those type of models.

I added a normal map to mine and it looks great, would look better if the skin was higher res

Also, the soldier now looks like he's on crack with how fast that animation loops. Slow it down lol.

Yea I forgot to change a few animations from 30fps to 15, I will get around to it soon.

I'm actually not sure about how that works. I think the original model already has to have team-colored skins and the rpg didn't :confused: . Maybe when we get team-colored sleeves we can do that.

Just add
$translucent 1

to the vmt and thats it, but I think you need $envmap set to 0.

This model kicks some serios ass, and the sounds do the same.
Only problem is the model anims are wayy too fast.

Transparency sounds awsome :D
Ive been playing soldier more just because this thing pwns

I added your links/pic to the first post and changed the title of the thread, hopefully to get more people to dl it.

Next step for you if you want a lot more people to DL is upload it and a few screensots of it to fpsbanana. Yeah, the site isn't that great, but lots of people use it.

I beg to differ. fpsbanana draws people to it from all sorts of games. Imagine someone trying to find a TF2 RPG quake skin, and instead, they find one for Fortress Forever. WTF? Another fortress mod??? It can't be??!??! So they go download it, and fall madly in love with this mod, thus increasing the player base.
