Changes From the Original

Added a new "Air Duct" passage at the very top of the map; its entrance is at the top of the middle columns on the exterior of the base and it leads to the Hole in the Wall
The sides of the exterior of the base (originally ladders and platforms) has been replaced by a push entity and a passage directly into the base

It should be. Hasn't been tested yet, but I am almost certain it works now.

So...I finally got a chance to play a full round in this map and I have to say I am really happy with how this came out Squeek...probably my top favorite all time map of TFC (definitely top 5) and you didn't kill it but still managed to chage some things.

Love the airshoot as opposed to the ramp for bottom spawn...great idea!

Love the way you made the middle spawn (ramp bags) be a hill as opposed to a platform...awesome

Tunnel makes me feel warm inside it...and I love how you can't get stuck (frustrating as hell in TFC)

Sniper bats is a freeking GREAT idea and it fits very well with the map!

Sexy textures EVERYWHERE...I can't complain about a single texture in there...it's all just freeking beautiful.

Seriously this map brings a tear to my eye with how perfect you made it!

Only complaints / comments are:

You can no longer shoot an Sg outside bottom spawn from the hole...not a huge thing though b/c that's compromised with the fact that D in the bottom can't see you sneaking out of the whole so win / win.

Sniper bats, one window is transparent...was this on purpose or accidental? It's not a huge thing, but did kinda mess up us [AE] guys...thought some poor guy was cheating until I tested it out on my side :oops:

Finally the mid-field bridge is a little wierd...it's like morphed. Not altogether a bad thing, just feels strange when you are bhop'ing accross it.

Altogether I am 100% happy with this map...the things I mention above aren't game killers and they add your own touch to the map which is important. They also don't interfear with the gameplay so not huge (with the exception of the window thing...that's just odd lol)

I'm not totally sure what causes it except for the fact that the parts of the windows being shot through are displacements. I'll have to check into it, but I am planning on releasing a new version of this map in the future to address the fps issues it has currently as well as any other bugs. I'm just not sure when that's going to happen.

That's exacly why. The back side of displacements dont have collissions. Try blockbullet brushes there.

There are actually two displacements, one facing out and one facing in. But blockbullet would be an easy workaround.

Hey squeek, any clue whats going on with my fps in this map? I was getting 15 fps with a dual core and 8800GT out in the field :shock:

I never go below 80 in any other map.

Aside from that it's a great map.

Yeah, it's a combination of a bunch of things. I'm well aware of the fps issues the map has and will eventually push out a new version that will address them.
