Please familiarize yourself with the forum rules (http://fortress-forever.com/forum/announcement.php?f=11) as you have just broken them.

2.9. We do not support piracy in any way, shape, or form. Discussing or promoting piracy, war3z, etc… may result in an instant ban.

Keep piracy-related stuff off of the FF forums, please.

Bit Torrent is about as Illegal as FTP is.
It's NOT.
It's what the protocol is used for that can be quested.

Hell, FF WAS FIRST RELEASED AS A TORRENT (You can thank me personally for finding that legal site).

Linux torrents are also very popular.
Torrents are useful for transferring large files between many users. It's popular for illegal content because the files are large and wanted by many users.

reopened: torrents aren't illegal, illegal torrent sites are though. keep it clean.lol. Torrents are not illegal but are slowly being banned. Verizon DSL throttles my connection now when I attempt to use a torrent, also I have used torrents to do nothing more then pirate software. Is it illegal? Yes. There is no reason to use torrents other than illegally downloading software for 90% of torrents.
Hmm merv may have saved this forum from the retarded fucking moderators who dont know how to moderate a forum classification.Ouch.

Yeah, but there are still plenty of legit uses (see http://www.legittorrents.com).

Honestly though, do you think that when the Internet was first brought online on its current form, the creators were thinking "Well now I can finally tell everyone how to get a big penis so they can enjoy porn in their house with a new, low mortgage!"?

You'd think people would have learned from Napster.
What do you think a torrent is? Same concept.

Ouch. Most UK providers throttle p2p. On my 2mb ADSL connection p2p is blocked during 6pm-11pm and speed reduced out side those times to 230kB/s. £15.99 though. Good connections here cost £25+

..thought i'd share tha with you.
