I'm trying to get Beetlesmod to load with FF
and it doesnt appear to search the addons folder for vdf files to load plugins.
Is there a way to get it to load Beetlesmod?

Your best bet is probably to get help through Beetle's website for the mod itself, since none of us had a clue what it was. ;)

I myself am using sourcemod with the reason that there will be tons of plugins released for it. Heck, they already have quite a lot of plugins released. But I must say that I've never tried BM myself, even though I did saw their website yesterday. Might as well check it out.
