For the desktop crash to windows that happens immediately (game doesn't start) and that doesn't display an error message.
Rolling back my driver worked for me. ATI Catalyst 7.9 seems to have caused the problem.
Maybe it will work for others.

Pretty basic one I know, but it's a start. Reporting my find, maybe it will make the devs life easier. My problem may only be a special case though.
